History:
Sprite Zero Sugar (originally called Sprite Light or Sprite Zero) was introduced in Europe in the early 2000s to cater to growing demand for sugar-free sodas. Its launch coincided with rising health awareness and the need to meet early sugar-reduction goals before formal sugar taxes were implemented. In 2018, many EU countries updated the formula with acesulfame K and aspartame to comply with newer regulations and improve taste.
